A bilingual education opens doors
Our School's mission is to promote international understanding through the bilingual education of a multicultural community of students, and to foster pedagogical innovation by exploring best practices in an ever-changing global environment.
INTRODUCTION
WHERE ACADEMIC AMBITION AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT MEET
We empower every pupil to actively explore the places a bilingual education can take them—both figuratively and literally. At Jeannine Manuel School, students from Nursery through our French International Baccalaureate (BFI) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) programmes are able to seamlessly absorb new content and skills through French and English – all within a nurturing and motivating environment.
Jeannine Manuel School ensures character development is intricately interwoven with our rigorous and extensive curriculum, equipping students with the readiness, support, and capability to navigate universities and embrace life beyond with confidence and a worldly perspective.
WHY JEANNINE MANUEL SCHOOL?
OPENING UPTHE WORLD
Jeannine Manuel School’s invigorating and academically encouraging bilingual approach exists far beyond the borders of the UK and France. It radiates throughout the world and is woven throughout the diverse community of families who come together at our school.
From Nursery, pupils seamlessly integrate two or more languages into their daily repertoire with the assistance of our attentive and nurturing teachers. As they grow, students become fluent in French, English, STEM, and the Arts, using multiple languages as a vessel for self-expression.
As a result, our students graduate with internationally recognised diplomas in one hand, and global perspectives in the other.

Early Years Foundation Stage
(Nursery, Reception, Y1)
Jeannine Manuel School’s Early Years programme establishes the foundation that will springboard pupils through the rest of their learning journey. Our caring environment promotes exploration and personal development, so pupils may develop the skills they will need for the next steps of their education - all in a fully bilingual English-French setting.

Primary School
(Y2-Y6)
(Y2-Y6)
Pupils in our Primary School continue to build on the foundation set for them in early years. Throughout Primary School, they will develop excellent levels of literacy and oracy - securing a solid understanding of key language skills in both French and English. Students also start learning Mandarin from Year 4! In Mathematics and the Sciences, learning revolves around experimentation and enquiry. Students grasp concepts that enable them to solve complex problems with confidence and propel them through subjects so they can thrive in the Middle School and beyond.
Middle School
(Y7-Y10)
Students in Middle School continue to follow our ambitious and engaging bilingual curriculum in a nurturing and caring environment. They arrive with the desire to question and the motivation to understand deeply - and we continue to nurture their curiosity and appetite for learning. From our interdisciplinary science programme (developed in partnership with Nobel-prize winner Georges Charpak) to our crossed perspective History & Geography sessions, our curriculum is designed to enable students to sharpen their critical thinking skills whilst refining their understanding of the world that surrounds them.
Upper School
(Y11-Y13 - Sixth Form/IB Diploma Programme)
For years, Jeannine Manuel School has witnessed the exceptional academic achievements of its students, propelling them across borders and into renowned universities worldwide. This success can be attributed, in part, to the two diploma programme tracks available to our Sixth Form students: the International French Baccalaureate (BFI) and the International Baccalaureate (IB). In addition to these programmes, students at Jeannine Manuel School have access to an outstanding University Advisory team who help navigate the complex higher education landscape for bilingual graduates.
As they approach the conclusion of their journey at Jeannine Manuel School, our students have a profound ability to embrace change and adapt to unforeseen challenges, empowering them to become catalysts for change themselves.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
“Our son joined in Year 7 with barely any French and we’ve been astounded at how quickly the school has helped him become completely bilingual. The pastoral care is also excellent. Teachers and our son’s fellow pupils did so much to welcome him and help him settle in when he joined. Now it’s wonderful to see him thrive in a community of international and open-minded peers.”
-Ralf & Katie, parents of Year 10 student
